Roomie Reunion

This weekend three Baylor Beauties, Reci, Kate & Jo came to KC for a memorable roomie reunion. Right when their planes landed we hit the ground running and experienced KC to the fullest in just a few days that seemed to fly by! The weekend was full of picnics, festivals, KC bbq, coffee shops, church, prayer, shopping, yummy local food, dancing and overall just some good quality time with special friends.

Always Reunited

So I had some fun with IMovie last week and made a little video compiling video clips from my Iphone of some of my favorite moments with Rebies and Britters! The video clips are all from some of our recent reunions: Stripes & Lace 2010, Donuts in Milwaukee 2011 and our most recent reunion a few weeks ago Pie & Plaid 2012! How is it even possible to have friends as lovely and wonderful as these...I am such a lucky girl. 

The Kind of Person I Want To Be

This weekend I was so blessed to spend mother's day in Fort Worth with my mom. When I spend time with my mom I am always reminded of the kind of person I want to be. 

If I could use three words to describe my mom those words would be joyful, prayerful, & thankful. She is truly a walking example of 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18. She has loved me so well for my entire life. I am so thankful for her and hope I can be just like her.

Iced Vanilla Coffee

The temp is moving up in KC and I can smell the sweetness of summer in the air! Makes me want to put on flip flops and drink an iced vanilla coffee! I could stroll right down the street to my fav local coffee shop The Filling Station where they know my name and coffee order by now ;) hehe, I kinda love that by the way ;)... BUT I had a random and scary thought to try to make one myself! Yikes! So I tried it! I think it was pretty good. A wasn't here to try it out for me so who knows if it was actually good or if I was just so excited it worked that I made up in my mind that it was good. You can try and let me know! ;) 

Ingredients:

• Coffee (I recommend the best coffee ever, Blue Moose Coffee, Andrew's uncle's gourmet coffee business)
• Milk or Cream
• Vanilla Extract
• Ice
• Sugar or Sweetener

Method: Make the coffee. (I used the french press.) Pour the coffee in a glass full of ice filling it up a little more than half. Pour in the milk or cream or a little of both to fill up the glass to the top. Add a tiny bit of vanilla extract and some sugar to make it vanilla and sweet!

Sip and Enjoy!
