Happiness

"God cannot give us a happiness and peace apart from Himself, because it is not there.
There is no such thing."
-C.S. Lewis

Our happiness comes from Him alone and that makes us so happy...

Happy to have conversation, on a Saturday morning, on my balcony, with the creator of the world...

"I see Your face in every sunrise,
The colors of the morning are inside Your eyes.
The world awakens in the light of the day,
I look up to the sky and say...You're beautiful."

Beautiful

The last few weekends have been beautiful in many ways.

Beautiful Night...
Night on the town with A and friends.

Beautiful Friends...

Steph was back in KC for the weekend! First stop... Anthropolgie.

Went to a Tea Party for my little friend Anna Elizabeth.
We share a mutual love for Toms and braids.

Beautiful Weather...

The place I frequent most often, our local grocery store.
Last weekend was a beautiful weekend to go pumpkin shopping!

So many pumpkins...a little overwhelming.
Just left with one lovely pumpkin to go on our front porch!

.
Samson loves taking me for walks down Cherry Street
in this beautiful weather.

Beautiful Worship...

This song that Jon Thurlow sang in worship last Sunday has been on my heart and residing in my spirit all week.

"The love that you have for Jesus, come and put it inside of me.
Come and burn it on my heart, like a seal, like a seal.
That in the famines of your presence.
Or in the floods of persecution.
Or in the comfort of the culture.
It's still real, it's still real.

Oh...I just want a heart that is fully in love.

It's what you wanted in the garden,
It's wanted you wanted on the mountain.
It's what you wanted on the crossbeam.
Just a heart that is fully in love."

-Jon Thurlow

Thankful for KC

Well, there is a high possibility that we will not be going to Texas for Thanksgiving this year because Andrew will most likely be at the hospital working on Thanksgiving Day. We have been feeling a little down about that because of course we would love to be with our families for Thanksgiving….But even though we wont be going to Texas, my heart is filled with thanks for our lives here in KC. I know Thanksgiving is more than a month away but I want to mention a few of the things in KC for which I am so thankful.

Andrew...

My hubby and best friend

Med School...

On his way to surgery! I'm so proud :) I made him stop and take a picture on his way out the door at 6 am.
On his way to study. Again, he just looked so cute going to study so I made him stop and pose on his way out :)

Med School Wives...

My dear friends and constant support

Work...

My co-worker Steph. Love working with this girl!
NMFN Annual Meeting in Milwaukee. Adore these girls. Love my job.

Aunt Mikki and Uncle Bob...

So blessed to have family in KC. They are so full of wisdom and love and we really enjoy spending time with them.

Samson...

This is where he sits every day, right by the door, with his blanket, waiting for us to come home  :)

Kansas City Fall...

We love living downtown KC!

Small Group...

We look forward to worship, prayer and studying the word of God every Wednesday night with our small group.

Friends...

The Crew

Home...
We love our little 1908 duplex on Cherry Street.

Mar

"...And you've been more than a friend to me.
You've fought off my enemies,
because you've spoken truth over my life.
And you'll never know what it means to me,
just to know you've been on your knees for me.
Oh you have blessed my life, more than you'll ever know."
