Thankful & Cozy

Still trying to come back to reality after spending a cozy Thanksgiving weekend with the Brochus. My heart is filled with so much thanks that I could go on forever about the people and blessings in my life for which I am so thankful. I am especially thankful for my hubby & both of our families and not a day goes by that I don't thank the Lord for each and every one of them. 

The Next Thing

It's crazy to think that soon we will know where we will be spending the next season of our lives for residency. It has been quite the topic of conversation around our house these days. There are so many unknowns about the next thing which makes it feel even more like an adventure. As of now we don't know where we will be in July 2013 but it's comforting to know that our Savior does. So for now and today we are asking for His guidance and trusting what He says and does. And in the meantime, I am thoroughly enjoying my favorite time of year in KC and kisses from A.

A Bushel & A Peck

Today was the perfect day for apple picking with dear friends. Have you heard that old song that goes: "I love you, a bushel and a peck, a bushel and a peck, and a hug around the neck!" My dad used to sing that to me when I was a little girl and I never knew what a bushel and a peck was until today! It all came together for me when I saw the sign above the two different sizes of bags to gather apples that said: Bushel-$13 or Peck-$7. I learn something new every day I tell ya! 

Free Friends

I am thoroughly enjoying my one night shift a week at Free People! It is a joy and privilege to work with these lovely ladies and learn from their fashion expertise. They are creative, individual, bold and free spirited FP girls!  Let me tell ya these chics have style.  Here are a few pics of me and my free friends hard at work. :)

This quote reminds me of my niece and and nephew Annah Grace and Austin. These two love life and live it to the fullest. They have so much love in their hearts and joy in their souls. My spirit felt rejuvenated after spending precious time with them this past weekend in Fort Worth. Here are a few pics from the weekend!

Playing with Polaroids

 Dropped off A at the airport a few hours ago. This weekend went by way too fast...only a few more months of out of town rotations and we are trusting the Lord through it all.  

We played around with my vintage SX-70 Polaroid Camera this weekend and considering that I have gone through several boxes of film and hardly ever have any turn out these actually turned out pretty well!

How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.
