My sweet friend Anna came over and helped me completely reorganize my closet! She is a true friend and I love her dearly.

I am so thankful for my amazing husband. He believes in me more than anyone in this world.  He tells me that "I'm braver than I believe, stronger than I seem, and smarter than I think." I love him so much and thank God every day that he chose me.

I have been working on a little project in our house where pictures from our parents' and grandparents' weddings are displayed. It's so wonderful to have these pictures in our home as a reminder that Andrew and I are so blessed to come from 2 families that have loved and served the Lord for many generations. 


So... my parents came to visit us in KC last weekend and of course I requested that they bring their wedding pictures along for my little photo display project :) I am so happy that I now have them all scanned on my computer and wanted to share a few!

C.S. Lewis Song

I love this song by Brooke Fraser. The first verse is a paraphrase of a C.S. Lewis quote from Mere Christianity: 

"If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world." 

This is the whole premise of the song, that we are not made for this world. So we will hope and wait for the day of the Lord. In the meantime, I'm clinging to his promise that

"Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

Nefarious Documentary

This weekend Andrew and I went to see the film Nefarious: Merchant of Souls produced by Exodus Cry to raise awareness of the severity and reality of sex trafficking around the world. Exodus Cry is an organization a part of IHOP that works for the ending of human trafficking and the restoration of those caught in the web of the sex industry. It seeks to bring widespread awareness on the issues of modern slavery while reaching out to those caught in the sex industry.

Nefarious Documentary

It's so easy to get comfortable in my own world and not take the time to think about, and more importantly, pray about global issues like these. I'm so thankful to be a part of a church who prioritizes justice and approaches it in a way that scripture teaches us: The combination of 24/7 prayers for justice and 24/7 works for justice. 

Lord, give me a heart for the broken and the helpless. Put in me a sense of urgency to pray day and night for revival and justice around the world. 

Luke 18:7-8 "And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly."

Aunt Mikki and I gave a baby shower for Julie this weekend! Andrew and I are in a life group with Julie & Daniel through Forerunner Christian Fellowship.
